All 6 turbines in the Energiepark Haringvliet Zuid project are installed. With the completion of the wind turbines Vattenfall can now move on installing the solar panels and batteries that form part of this energy parc.
Energiepark Haringvliet Zuid is being realised by Vattenfall in the Van Pallandtpolder in Haringvliet, near the town of Middelharnis in the municipality of Goeree-Overflakkee. The first turbine was installed February. The Nordex, type N117/3675, have a tip height of 150 m and blades of 60 m in length. They are good for 22 MW capacity in total. In addition to the 6 turbines, the energy parc will also comprise 124,000 solar panels (38 MW) and batteries that are placed in 12 sea containers.
The wind turbines will undergo a period of testing and optimising as of June. In the meantime a start will also be made on the activities for the solar panels and batteries. The latter wil serve to keep the grid stable and will also serve as storage in the future.
The energy parc is planned to become commercially operational at the end of 2020.
