Start preparatory work in De Drentse Monden en Oostermoer WF

This week, a start was made on the internal wind farm infrastructure in the De Drentse Monden en Oostermoer wind farm in the province of Drenthe.

In the coming months, construction work on internal roads, crane hardstands and cabling will take place at several locations in the wind farm. This will be followed by the construction of the foundations. The installation of the turbines is planned to start in the second half of 2020.

The 45 Nordex N131/3900 wind turbines will be positioned in 6 line arrangements. The first turbine was already installed last year in order to perform tests on the EMC radiation level, as per agreement with the owners of the nearby located LOFAR telescope. This turbine was officially put in operation on 8 January this year.

The wind farm is an initiative of Duurzame Energieproductie Exloërmond B.V., Windpark Oostermoer Exploitatie B.V. and Pure Energie (former Raedthuys Windenergie B.V.). Financial close for the wind farm was reached in January of this year.
