The installation of all four foundations for the wind turbines at De Rietvelden Wind Farm, located on and near business park De Rietvelden in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, have been completed. Preparations are now being made for the transport and arrival of the large wind turbine components.
The concrete was poured for the final foundation in the middle of this week. This is reported by the initiators of the wind farm. The concrete will have to harden in the coming weeks.
Preparation of large turbine components
In the meantime, the supply of the large wind turbine components is being prepared and work is underway on the construction of the crane hardstands and the park cabling. The crane hardstands and park roads are built by KWS Infra Roosendaal-Sas van Gent on behalf of VolkerWind. The current planning is that the first parts will arrive on site at the end of May, marking the start of the construction of the 4 Nordex N117/3600 wind turbines.
De Rietvelden is an initiative of Heineken Brouwerij ‘s-Hertogenbosch, container terminal BCTN, demolition and contracting company Barten, the Pennings family, sustainable energy company Pure Energie and cooperative association Bossche Windmolen West (BWW). One of the four wind turbines, the “Bossche Windmolen”, is owned by BWW and its 553 members. Pure Energie is involved as a developer and supplier of locally produced green energy to companies and consumers.
The joint expected annual total yield of the wind farm is approximately 38 million kWh. This compares with the consumption of about 12,000 households.
