The wind energy industry is one of the most rapidly growing renewable energy sectors worldwide. This is also the case in the Netherlands. In the Dutch Climate Agreement the Dutch government has set a goal to reduce CO2 emissions by at least 49% by 2030. In 2050 a zero net emmission should be reached.
Wind energy, and especially offshore wind, plays a vital role in achieving these targets. The Agreement provides for the expansion of wind energy of 7.5-8.5 GW of onshore and 11.5 GW of offshore wind by 2030.
Sharing is knowing
Sharing knowledge is the key to facilitate and achieve these ambitions. The wind titles aim to support this. The wind cluster includes a magazine, 2 news sites and 2 newsletters. Each with its own focus and audience.
With the Dutch news site Windenergie-nieuws.nl we inform the Dutch speaking wind professionals on the developments in the Netherlands and some of the main developments on an international level.
The English news site Windenergie-magazine.nl and Wind Energy Magazine inform the international audience on the main developments in the Dutch wind industry and its players.
As of 1 June 2020, the wind titles have been acquired by Sabine Lankhorst from previous owner Vakbladen.com. Sabine has been the editor in chief of the magazine since 2018.
